Understanding how Christian love works
1.Christian love must be grateful for the best in others (Philemon 1:4-9)
2.Christian love must seek the welfare of others (Philemon 1:10-11)
3.Christian love must deal and act honestly with others (Philemon 1:12-17)
4.Christian love must bear and carry the burdens of others (Philemon 1:18-20)
5.Christian love believes the best of others (Philemon 1:21)
Chapter 6: Christ-like love.
Sometimes, we become overly sensitive and misunderstand the intention of others. It is better for you to think that people are doing good when they are doing evil, than for you to think that the people are doing evil, when they are actually doing good. By thinking that people are against you when they are not, heaps coals on your head.
Holiness – Access to heaven.
Remember, Jesus Christ IS the entrance and admission to holiness. Do not think that you can become holy to reach Christ. Rather, it is only through Christ that you can become holy. The approach to holiness and sanctification is Christ Jesus.
